Johnny Rude

Born in Michigan and moved to Rockford in 1976. My father played drums in a Jazz band so I grew up listening to Count Baise and Ella Fitzgerald. My mom was a Sonny & Cher fanatic so musically I was pretty much all over the road. I started mowing the neighbor's yard for extra cash. He turned out to be Man Mountain  Walker, a rock DJ that introduced me to the likes of The Doobie Brothers, The Marshall Tucker Band and so on. He is also the one that made me want to work in radio. (And to this day I still don't forgive him)

Interesting Facts:

My father's college roommate was Dick Butkus.
I collect shirts that feature Pin-Up Girls and Strippers!
Sat at a bar in Nashville and drank with Kiefer Sutherland.

Best concert experiences:

Sitting off stage drinking shots with Doug Gray from the Marshall Tucker Band during the guitar solos at the Circle K in 1994.

Front row with my college roommates at a Kiss concert in Rochester Minnesota in 1988. We got the whole experience&blood dripped on us by Gene, my roommate caught Erics drumstick and Paul looked right at me at gave me a thumbs up I assume just because I Rocked!!
